The Eighteenth and Nineteenth Graduate Research Cluster at the University of Washington

The University of Washington Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century Graduate Research Cluster (18/19) is a graduate student organization that brings together members with diverse research commitments and disciplinary backgrounds who are united by a shared interest in the literary, textual, and cultural artifacts of the global long eighteenth and nineteenth centuries (approximately 1688-1914). Engaging with the sociopolitical, historical, and cultural breadth of eighteenth- and nineteenth-century studies, this research cluster seeks to open scholarly dialogue between departments by offering events that consider this period from polycentric, global, and interdisciplinary perspectives.

The 18/19 made possible by the generous funding of the University of Washington Simpson Center for the Humanities.
